The All Blacks will look to improve on their recent performances in the Autumn Nations Series, which have seen them ascend to third place in the World Rugby Rankings.

After injuries in the France Test to Samipeni Finau and Jordie Barrett, the All Blacks selectors may be forced to make alterations to both the loose forward trio and the midfield if neither players are deemed fit.

With this being the last Test match of the tour, there is discussion about what approach Roberston and his selectors will take ahead of the Italy game this coming weekend.

The Sky Sports New Zealand panel discussed what they think the All Blacks should do with selections against Italy.

“Without the disrespect to Italy, I think we should win this game but I think there is an opportunity to now introduce the likes of Ruben Love and with Barrett being out, where does Perofeta sit, said 44-year-old former All Black and current Sky Sports commentator Mils Muliaina.

“I think it’s about these guys who have had these last three big hit-outs that are possibly starting to dip in their performance so it’s a good opportunity for the experience.

You’ve still got TJ Perenara sitting there, I don’t think it’s an issue about putting young guys out there, I think there’s still plenty of mix in terms of experience plus the new guys that you try to introduce against Italy.”

Current Auckland NPC assistant coach Steven Bates told the Sky Sports New Zealand panel after the All Blacks defeat, that he thinks some players deserve a rest ahead of the last game on the end-of-year tour.

“Maybe Tamaiti Williams, I don’t think the loose forwards can change that much there’s that many injuries, but I think what is important is that we keep that nucleus or some sort of spine there, said Bates.

“I don’t think that’s fair to introduce people that get their first starts there and just have a whole new team rocking out, I think you have to get a nucleus of a spine there and certainly as Mils said inject some people to give them the experience.”

Former All Blacks first five and Waikato player Aaron Cruden is excited to see young Hurricanes back Ruben Love in an All Blacks jersey again.

Obviously I’d like to see Ruben get a crack, grew up in Manawatu as well so it would be good to see him get a run, said Cruden.

“Inject some of these guys that are gonna be enthusiastic, they are gonna be ready because they’ve been waiting for an opportunity. I’d love to see them get a good crack next weekend against Italy.”

Get rid of Jeff Wilson, he is the most,"NEGATIVE THING," I have listened to since his first appearance on a Rugby Channel!

Eevery person that has coached the The All Blacks, Jeff Wilson has to run them down, or badly Belittle them, as "THOUGH little Jeff wilson THINKS he's the man FOR THE JOB.

To give you a look into a jeff Wilson coaching session.

(1) Arrive at 5.30pm on dot, leave training gear changing room, then head to the bar upstairs.

(2) Grab a empty glass, size doesn't matter behind bar then head to keg at end of bar fill your glass and drink........

(3) Wait until everyone has turned up, until everyone has turned up I want you to do your elbow bending exercise.

(4) After 3 and a hours when anyone, or everyone has had enough of elbow bending, you can all go home.

THANK'S FOR COMING!

Same Time Tomorrow.

What's the point of playing Cane or Tj ,I still don't understand why we wasted a hole season carrying them instead of starting the new and better player's,same with Reiko and Dmac maybe they'll get better haha 😄

Cane definitely earned his keep with not only his performance but talking/motivating the younger players. They could have left Yapper at home.

Has Quade Cooper solved a Lions riddle for Australia?

I also think that the lack of layers in the Australian system and the short season length also contributes to our lack of player development. All of the “three amigos” were in the Australian side from a very early age. We have Super Rugby but it is only 15 weeks long now (if you don’t make the finals - which our sides don’t typically do). And we only have 4 - 5 teams so, for 10s, there is only 1 or 2 spots up for grabs and one player is going to get most of the time. I imagine, in Europe where you have a longer season and then European Championship and then, in France, also a professional division below, a player of ability will get more than 15 games at the top level. There are tiers to progress through etc. The current 10 for France, on the All Blacks tour, has had 120 Top 14 games - we are putting blokes into a Wallabies squad after one or two good seasons (30 SR games at the most) and for others, like Sua’ali’i even sooner (but he did play at a high level in another code so he has had some time to develop).

We lack a tier or level, where players can develop that other comps have so that (1) they don’t need to be thrown in early (2) if they take a bit longer to develop there is a place for them to do it. You either have a place in one of the 4 (previously 5) sides or you go overseas, or you play at an amateur level. And also, you don’t have to push an older player out because, if you reach 24 or 25 and you haven’t made the Wallabies (or you aren’t a regular) then the prospect of playing OS is too financially enticing.
